I saw a Trailer for Twilight and thought OK why not go and get the book. I read it in one day and believe me that was a feat with to young Boys. Since then I have read all four numerous times.
Now for the movie, I did go into it thinking it was going to be just like the Book and that it was going to be a great movie, something I could talk to my friends about.
I decided to take two of my girlfriends who have not read any of the books and they had NO IDEA what the movie was about, they just wanted to get out of the house.
During the movie I was comparing it so much to the book that I was so disappointed but my friends actually enjoyed it and said that it was a good movie. So with that I went home and thought about some other movies that have been adapted to screen and this is what I came up with.
+ Twilight was rushed and should of been at least 2 1/2 hrs maybe 3hrs, Bella and Edward needed more time to form their relationship, the Cullens needed to be in the movie a bit more then what they were. Some of the lines were cheesy and laughable when they should not of been, the special affects sucked but Stephanie Myer said its was she pictured about the Diamond effect, hum I'm on the sidelines with that one, i wanted to see more of Alice and Jasper and Bella together, that part was rushed way too much.
All in All this movie could of been better if they had a bigger budget and gave the movie more time to develop the storyline and characters.
I think and I am hoping that when I see it again this weekend that I will just go in there and enjoy the movie and not compare it to the book as I have learned with Harry Potter the first movie is always a learning curve and each movie gets better, so lets hope that New Moon, Eclipse and if they do Breaking Dawn gets better and please make the movie not so rushed and make it LONGER, I am pretty sure that Twilight Fans want mind sitting in a theater for more then 2 hours to watch one of there fav books on screen. I know when the credits rolled no one clapped or got out of there seats straight away, it was like, IS THAT IT" again disappointing.
I say go and see it and DO NOT compare it to the book.
UPDATE:
So i saw it again and this time i went into not thinking of the book and i actually enjoyed it. The story was good, little bit fast as i said above comment and the CGI was a tad bit cheesy. Some of the lines were well cheesy.
But I have to say the actors played there parts well and I truly think that it they had a bigger budget in the start it would of been a TERRIFIC movie. All in all I enjoyed it better second time around and not comparing it to the book.
I say go see it, you will laugh and giggle and enjoy the movie.
I hope New Moon has a BIGGER BUDGET and they do the CGI better.
